Zohreh Arab, MBA
As a young girl with a strong-willed personality, Zohreh found herself growing up in Persia the land of handmade rugs, saffron, poetry and 5,000+ years of recorded history.
From a young age, the business world has inspired and challenged her. Getting to know people from all walks of life, with different ethnicities and cultural backgrounds, motivated her to start her life’s journey. With the encouragement of her parents, she moved to Frankfurt where she quickly learned German, worked fulltime, and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Design Study and Fashion. Zohreh then changed residences to the US to further challenge herself to live and work in one of the most fast-paced cultures in the world and to attain her third language.
Always embracing education, with a passion for business, she earned her second Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from San Francisco State University in 2012. As Zohreh wanted to be part of the business world, and to satiate her thirst for knowledge, she earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Executive Management (MBA) from Saint Mary’s College of California in 2014.
Along with her previous diverse experiences in various financial systems around the globe, here in the US, Zohreh worked for Bank of America. Expanding her skill set, she then worked for Exar (MaxLinear) a Semiconductor company in Silicon Valley which challenged her to be innovative and entrepreneurial and led her to her recent role at Merrill Lynch.
Zohreh’s outgoing and enthusiastic personality fosters long-lasting friendships and a broad professional network. She has resided in Moraga since moving to the US in 2007. She enjoys traveling all over the world, as she appreciates cultural differences and believes we can learn much from people and from travel. She likes walking and hiking, reading, dancing, cooking, watching good movies, and enjoying nature with her beloved Shih Tzu, Munchie.
